This is me: I was born in Munich, Germany in 1960 and moved to the Montreal area with my family at the age of three. I left home at the age of 18; hopped on a Greyhound bus headed West. Long story short, I lived in Calgary, Regina, Victoria, and in various cities in the Lower Mainland. At the age of twenty-five, I got homesick and moved back to the Montreal area.
I went to University as a mature student but dropped out to get married. I have four amazing children, a wonderful daughter-in-law, (and another not “official” daughter-in-law, just as wonderful!) and three beautiful grandsons. I have a husband of thirty-seven years who, for some reason, puts up with me and my ever-changing life.
Please have a look at my work, for whatever it’s worth, and know that I have put my heart and soul into each piece. In some, the subject is obvious, in others, not so much. I find life simultaneously beautiful, ugly, inspiring, disturbing, complex, and simple. But most of all, I find it interesting.
My artwork hangs in private collections in Canada, Germany, and China.
I hope you find at least a moment of connection as you look through my art. That’s as much as anyone can ask for – a moment of connection.
